The EBC Story
The EBC Group was founded in 1978 by L.O. Landin as a market research and consultant company. Beginning in 1983 the EBC Group has initiated – and ever since consequently developed – customer networks by means of the The Dialogue Approach.
In 1988 EBC acquired the computer service company NOBEMA Direct Marketing Systems, renamed EBC Relationsmarknadsföring (CRM), and since 1997 responsible for Dialogue projects on the Internet. In 1999 EBC started to develop and introduce into the market their own e-business solutions Bostadstorget, DialogueManager™ and DialoguePublisher™, along with traditional web services. The most important customers are to be found in the medical and pharmaceutical industries as well as in publishing, education, insurance and in trading sectors.

In 1984 the Doctors’ Dialogue was introduced in Sweden as an instance of the Dialogue Approach in practice. The Doctors´ Dialogue was the very beginning of extensive information activities to be sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry in the Nordic countries, and from 1993 administered in a separate company called SMI – Svensk Medicin Information, transferred to the company Bonnier Business Information in 1997.
EBC is still successfully cultivating their extensive net of relations within the pharmaceutical and meditechnical industry, as well as among doctors and other healthcare personnel. In 2001 EBC gave birth to its latest generation of services, i.e. the Doctors’ Dialogue on the Internet, called Doctors´ Forum (LÄKARFORUM). This customer relations service has been highly appreciated and not only in Sweden, but also in Finland. We are looking forward to this extension of dialogue into Forum in other countries as well. A new consultant company called EBC Kreaprenör® (eng. Creapreneur) was started in 2002 to meet the new management demands in the Experience Society.
